She drove her car a long way though the grass to drive the car into the ocean.  And why is there a plant on her head?  Her shoe is probably stuck in the mud, so that I understand.  But the biggest question is, why is there a phone booth in the middle of nowhere? Anyway, it is a funny postcard, and I think it is wonderful  :D

The Alligator is a native of the Florida Everglades.  For some time its skin has been fashionably used in the manufacture of bags, shoes, etc., and with this increasing use they had been hunted until they ere almost extinct.  To remedy this situation and supply the demand, several thriving Alligator farms are now in operation, where the breeding and care of alligators is the main industry.

Change Your Course by 10 Degrees

The Captain of a ship saw what looked like the lights of another ship heading towards him.  He ordered his signalman to contact the other ship.  Th message was: "Change your course 10 degrees to the south."

The reply was "Change YOUR course 10 degrees to the north."

The Captain said "I am a captain, so change YOUR course 10 degrees to the south"
Reply: "I am a seaman first class, change YOUR course 10 degrees to the north."

This last exchange infuriated the captain so he signaled back: "I am a battleship change YOUR course 10 degrees to the south."

Reply: "I am a lighthouse.  Change YOUR course 10 degrees to the north."

Mama Moo is a fictional character created by Jujja and Tomas Wieslander that first appeared in a Swedish children's radio drama and then later on Records. The books are illustrated by Sven Nordqvist.  There is also a computer game and other merchandise available.

The Swedish books were published by Natur och Kultur and are translated to several languages.
